J. T. Morgan concentrates his professional practice principally in creditor's rights, collection, bankruptcy, real estate, wills and probate, general business litigation and in representing business entities in their formation and day-to-day legal matters.
J.T. was born in El Paso, Texas in 1955 and received his undergraduate degree from NMSU in 1978 and his J.D. from Texas Tech University in 1981. He was licensed to practice law in 1981 and is currently admitted to practice both in the Eastern and Western Districts of Texas, the 5th Circuit and various U.S. Bankruptcy Courts including the Western and Northern Districts of Texas.
J.T. is a past president of the Ector County Young Lawyers Association, Past President of the Ector County Bar Association, past chair of the 15D Grievance Committee and is currently the Treasurer of the Permian Basin Bankruptcy Bar Association.
He is also the past President of the Ector County Association of Retarded Citizens, serves on various boards at First United Methodist Church of Odessa, and is on the Board of the Odessa Day Nursery. He is currently the President of the Greater Odessa Rotary Club.
J.T. and his wife, Debbie, have five children. He is an avid hunter, fisherman and runner.
