RKM's wide-ranging experience in the area of litigation includes board certified representation for personal injury trial law and civil appellate matters, including all facets of insurance defense, medical malpractice, products liability, oilfield accidents, business litigation, and landlord-tenant disputes.

RKM is extremely active in all areas of civil litigation, both defending and prosecuting cases, and we maintain an excellent relationship with the courts across the state.

Our firm is actively involved in the defense and prosecution of tort cases filed in federal and state courts throughout the Permian Basin and West Texas. We have developed a strong rapport with our insurance and individual clients and offer representation in actions arising from oilfield accidents, product liability claims, premises cases, automobile accidents, and other related tort claims. We provide a broad range of services for insurers, including the defense of first party claims and other direct actions, and the provision of coverage opinions.

In addition to personal injury and insurance cases, we defend local governmental entities in civil rights disputes, prisoner and pre-trial detainee litigation, constitutional claims, employee and discrimination matters and tort actions brought under the Texas Tort Claims Act. We also have experience in both prosecuting and defending cases involving employment law, including claims of discrimination, workers compensation retaliation, wage claims and claims under the Americans with Disabilities Act, Age Discrimination in Employment Act, Texas Commission on Human Rights Act and other civil rights actions.

RKM also represents a number of clients in commercial litigation matters including contract disputes, business torts, real estate litigation and construction law. In the collection arena, we have prosecuted and defended matters such as garnishment, sequestration and turnover orders.
